very striking and purposely shocking picture. There are three people (one a child for sure) and three crows (one for each - depending on culture, I don't think crows are symbols of anything good, and I'm assuming these are crows). It's a photo that records fact but there's a touch of irony: look at the store's window, promising gold winning songs and discounts, forcing the viewer to re-evaluate priorities: security and food in the face of worldly entertainment.
I can't help but read the words from the three windows (of course I'm picking the words): life award, rock (hard ground) never sounded this good...
I was curious so looked up crows and what they symbolize in Hindu folklore: The crow is a symbol of caution; it warns all beings of incoming danger and thus serves the role of a protector and preserver;
Any reason that deters me from going is a valid reason.
The possibility alone of being jostled by vendors (aka people trying to sell me crap), the high incidence of crime (caucasian tourists being a prime target for pickpocketing and scams), the more than occasional filth, the subpar hygiene of people and places, one moment you are walking through a beautiful flower filled street and next you are overtaken by a wall of odour/smell that rots away at your sinuses.
